Eloped on a Smoky Summer Day ~ Cayley & Riley’s Rathrevor Beach Elopement
On a smoky summer day, Cayley and Riley eloped at the beautiful Rathtrevor beach in Parksville. They eloped barefoot on the beach among their closest family members, a couple of friends and their two-year old son. They had been engaged for one year and suddenly decided that they didn’t want to wait any longer to become married. So in just two weeks’ time, they planned a destination elopement in Parksville, BC, at the beautiful Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park.
Smoky Summer Skies
Despite the smoky summer skies, Cayley and Riley were happy with the way things turned out. The smoke in the images looked like West Coast fog, and the lighting looked as if it were overcast with clouds. The tone was warm, and so were the guests! They had a short and sweet ceremony, with a quick picnic dinner afterwards. A few of their guests mentioned they could feel the effect of the smoke on their lungs and breathing, however were okay with the wedding only taking about three hours altogether outside. As COVID-19 made 2020 a real struggle, the guests were quite happy to witness this beautiful event even with a smoke show.
