Virgin Falls, an Adventurous Tofino Elopement Location ~ Tofino Elopement Photography

Virgin Falls is a beautiful Tofino elopement location for the more adventurous souls. The stunning waterfall, bubbling creek and West Coast forest make an amazing setting for your Tofino elopement. It is accessed by 110km of logging roads (round trip) and is best suited for AWD vehicles with high-clearance. Once you’re parked, the trail leading to the waterfall is about a two minute walk through forest before opening up to a stunning view of the 53 meter high waterfall. Due to it’s difficulty getting there, this waterfall is usually quiet- quiet from people that is! The waterfall is very powerful and loud, with grooves in the rock worn in by decades of water flow. If you and your partner love a little logging road cruising and are waterfall seekers, this place might just be the perfect Tofino elopement location for you!

Virgin Falls Driving Directions

Driving directions to Virgin Falls; from the Tofino-Ucluelet Junction, head towards Port Alberni. Just 1.6km from the Junction, you will turn left onto West Main. Follow West Main for about 11km until the Kennedy River Bridge. About 50 meters after crossing the bridge, you will see a road to your left. Take this road and set your odometer to zero. It is called Deer Bay Main and also Virgin Falls Main. You will take this road for 31km until you reach your destination. Once you’re at the 30km mark, keep your eyes scanning to your left through the trees and you will see the falls. The road has been widened slightly for additional parking. *Note, there is a washout that tends to frequently erode about 2-3km from the falls. Sometimes this washout makes the route impassable. Be sure to check for current conditions from trail reports and the local visitor center.*
