A Warm and Wonderful Parksville Spring Wedding

Amélie and Cody chose to celebrate their marriage with a Parksville spring wedding. Set against the ocean backdrop and May’s springtime florals, Tigh-Na-Mara Resort was a perfect location for their intimate event. It meant a lot to the couple that their family gathered and spent quality time in one location, without the hassle of travelling to multiple places on the wedding day. Tigh-Na-Mara Resort has everything in one place- from getting ready, ceremony, formal photos, reception, and even spending the night- it can’t get any easier. And it’s also incredibly beautiful here! The gazebo overlooks the expansive Rathtrevor Beach, which has an impressive 1km tidal shift. On Amélie and Cody’s wedding day, you could see the light blue shallow waters brilliantly in the sunshine that day.

Weddings that take place during the month of May at Tigh-Na-Mara, have the delight of their flowering Rhododendron bushes. These brilliant red florals are well-established and are situated beside the grassy field overlooking the gazebo ceremony site. This is typically where I take family formals anyways, as the shade of the Arbutus Tree provides beautiful light. It’s a bonus when that Rhododendron is in blossom!

Including Their Fur-Baby

Another perk to hosting their wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara was the ability to include their fur-baby, Nala, in the celebrations! Nala was a very important guest at their wedding, who made herself comfortable at her parents feet during the ceremony. She even had a matching floral neck piece- tying in beautifully with her mama that day! Nala was present during formal photos, and was allowed on the beach as well while on leash.
