A Beach Club Resort Wedding in Parksville
Anna and Jordan married at the Beach Club Resort in Parksville, overlooking the Parksville Beach in the summer sun. With 33 guests, they spent the day getting ready in luxurious Beach Club rooms with their closest friends, spending time in the summer warmth and sun, getting romantic in a nearby fern forest, and enjoying the reception with games, speeches and an incredible dinner. Anna and Jordan had originally planned to become married in 2021, but they opted to wait until 2022 to have less Covid-19 restrictions. It was difficult for them to wait another year, as they were so excited to spend a beautiful day merging their families, but they did have a casual barbeque during their “could have been” wedding day!
Wedding Day Details
Anna and Jordan married on a hot summer day in Parksville. They enjoyed a casual morning getting ready with their close friends in the bright and luxurious rooms at the Beach Club Resort. They married on the grassy lawn in front of the resort overlooking the expansive Parksville beach and boardwalk. Exchanging emotional vows, I caught a number of people on camera with tears in their eyes. It was a very heartfelt ceremony ♥ After sealing their marriage with a kiss, they spent 20 minutes mingling with their excited guests before taking formal photographs with me. Yes, we had to do a mask photo with the bridal party, but I made sure to get one where they were all flailing them in the air like cowboys and cowgirls! :)
Anna and Jordan and I drove from the Beach Club to a nearby fern forest in a quiet park to take their intimate formal photos. It was about a 6 minute drive from their wedding venue, and is a beautiful lush green fern forest with a few Alder Trees and Douglas Fir. Every time I’ve ever shot here, there has been nobody else in sight! I love taking my clients here to allow them a moment of quietude before the rest of the wedding events take place.
Back at the reception, guests were enjoying cocktail hour. Sipping on the signature drink, Colada Love, taking silly photos at the photobooth, snacking on delicious appetizers and enjoying the company of each other and the beach. Anna, Jordan, and their bridal party were introduced to the seated indoor reception via a grand entry, and then shortly after that the speeches began. There were plenty of heartfelt words spoken, as well as the intimate joking between close friends. Anna and Jordan had a first dance, and played the popular “Shoe Game”. They had a garter and bouquet toss, enjoyed an amazing buffet dinner, and continued playing games late into the night like music bingo!
