Jenna and Kohen chose to celebrate their marriage with an Arrowsmith Golf Course wedding, and it’s easy to see why this venue feels like one of the best-kept secrets in the Qualicum Beach–Bowser area. Tucked away among rolling green fairways, Arrowsmith Golf Course offers a peaceful, scenic setting.
True to its name, the golf course is framed by breathtaking views of the region’s iconic mountains. Beyond the manicured greens and a serene pond complete with a softly flowing fountain, the local giants rise in the distance—Mount Arrowsmith and Mount Cokely creating a dramatic natural backdrop for the day.
Standing at 1,819 meters, Mount Arrowsmith is the tallest summit in the area and an unmistakable presence on Vancouver Island. On a clear day, it can be seen from Nanoose Bay all the way to Port Alberni and beyond, making it a truly unforgettable feature of this hidden gem wedding venue.
Private Vows at Saahtlam Park
Before the larger ceremony later that day, Jenna and Kohen met at Saahtlam Park in Qualicum Beach for a quiet, meaningful moment together. They shared the sweetest first look as Kohen waited beneath the shade of a towering cedar tree, spending a few calm moments with their dog by his side.
Including their fur-baby was important to them, and this felt like the perfect way to do it. After their first embrace under the cedar, we captured a few photos with nearby family before heading down to the beach—making sure, of course, to get plenty of puppy photos along the way.
Eventually, Jenna and Kohen exchanged their vows privately on the beach. It was quiet, intimate, and heartfelt—one of those moments that feels extra special simply because it was meant just for them.

What struck me most about Jenna and Kohen’s Arrowsmith Golf Course wedding were those mountain views. While the ceremony itself doesn’t take place directly in front of the mountains, the landscape becomes fully accessible for photos once the golf course closes—opening up some truly stunning portrait locations.
For Jenna and Kohen’s timeline, we headed out around 7 p.m., right as golden hour began—the most beautiful time of day, with soft light and a warm glow in the final hours before sunset. This is when the venue truly shines. To make things even better, the venue staff outfitted the bridal party with golf carts, making it easy and fun to travel to multiple scenic locations across the course without cutting into photo time!
THE FOOD: On-Site Catering by Extreme Eatz Bar and Grill
I can still taste that barbecued broccolini—holy smokes, was this meal delicious. The venue offers an on-site restaurant that caters events held at the golf course, making the dining experience feel seamless and relaxed.
The food at Extreme Eatz Bar & Grill is a crowd-pleasing mix of casual comfort classics with bold, hearty flavors, perfect for feeding a hungry wedding crowd. While I wouldn’t exactly call myself a foodie, I can say with complete confidence that this is one meal I won’t forget. That mouth-watering broccolini alone earned a permanent spot in my wedding-day memory bank.
“Deanna did the photography for our wedding in June 2025 and my husband and I are very happy with the results.
