An Intimate Wedding on their 10 Year Anniversary
Justine and Matthew married on their 10 year anniversary with an intimate backyard celebration. Recently moved to Vancouver from Ontario, these two loved the idea of a vacation destination wedding. Vancouver Island it is! They rented a beautiful acreage Airbnb in Qualicum Beach which had multiple dwellings and a beautiful pond. Their parents, siblings, and closest friends joined them at the property, spending the night and quality time together. Justine’s parents even flew all the way from Newfoundland to be with them! How precious!
I was here for three hours, starting with the getting ready moments. I am so glad to have been here for these, photographing the kids and grandparents together as the bride and her sister got ready. Watching grandma tie up her granddaughters dress, and grandpa comforting another granddaughter as she felt sick. I am a sucker for candid, precious, fleeting moments!
Justine and Matthew exchanged personal vows to each other, and included a pinky promise in their ceremony. They also gifted their daughter a necklace, promising their devotion to not only each other as husband and wife, but to their daughter as father and mother. It was a tearjerker ceremony, and had everybody feeling emotional for this sweet family.
