A Warm and Sunny Beach Club Resort Wedding in October
Kaelin and AJ were gifted with the most beautiful October day for their Beach Club Resort Wedding. October in Parksville can bring all kinds of weather. You really don’t know what to expect when you book your venue months in advance. These two lucked out on an unseasonably warm and sunny day for their wedding. What a gift!
The Beach Club Resort provided accommodation for their guests, a banquet room for their reception, and an oceanfront ceremony setting. They tied the knot by the ocean, complete with a handfasting ceremony put on by their wonderful celebrant, Jane Good of Circle Ceremonies. Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds went straight into a private room for a moment alone. During that time, Jane and I organized their full guest list into a large group to begin taking photos. On the boardwalk, in the sunshine, we took their family and friend photos before heading to the beach with the bridal party. Eventually, it was just Kaelin and AJ taking photos at the beach, when suddenly AJ said, “We have to go.” I assumed he was just done with taking photos, but the tide had come in BEHIND us, trapping us on a large sand island! We had to take our shoes off and walk through the water to reach the shore. Kaelin said, “It wouldn’t be our wedding day without touching water.”
I finished my time with them up on Little Mountain, a 10 minute drive from the Beach Club Resort. The lighting was bright and brilliant, and these two enjoyed a moment completely alone on their wedding day. Congratulations you two!
