A Dreamy Two Eagles Lodge Wedding
Leanne and Eddie’s Two Eagles Lodge wedding was the perfect spot to celebrate their love. Nestled on a stunning 12-acre property with breathtaking views of the Georgia Strait and Denman Island, this venue offers a picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable wedding. Two Eagles Lodge is more than just a venue; it’s an experience. The charming home comfortably accommodates up to 10 overnight guests, featuring a cozy B&B suite and two spacious king-bed rooms in the main house. For those who love the outdoors, the venue also welcomes camping, with plenty of room for RVs and tents. Carolyn and her late husband Steve bought the property in 2004, and have lovingly created a beautiful space to connect. Today, you can count on Carolyn to welcome you to her home and assist in executing a meaningful wedding.
The pet-friendly atmosphere at Two Eagles Lodge is truly special — allowing couples to include their beloved four-legged friends in the celebration. For animal lovers, the property also features horses, with a large barn that makes for a dreamy photo opportunity.
When it comes to stunning scenery, Two Eagles Lodge doesn’t disappoint. The venue boasts wide open spaces with a manicured field that overlooks the sparkling ocean, offering a perfect setting for ceremonies and receptions. And for those who love nature, the meadows filled with wildflowers add a romantic and whimsical touch to the day.

Bridal Party Preparations
As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite things is seamlessly documenting both the groom and bridal party as they get ready for the big day. When everyone can prepare in the same location, it allows for a natural flow and makes it easy to capture all the special moments without needing much planning or staging. Two Eagles Lodge was the perfect spot for this. Eddie and his groomsmen got ready in the cozy B&B suite, enjoying a pre-wedding whiskey on the balcony as they shared laughs. Meanwhile, Leanne prepped in the guest room with her mom, sister, and closest girlfriends, soaking in the excitement of the day ahead.

A Ceremony Full of Laughter
Leanne and Eddie’s wedding ceremony was one for the books, with plenty of heartfelt moments- and more than a few laughs! The officiant, bless her heart, passionately recited a poem, her voice raspy and filled with emotion, repeating the line “Come, come, come” with sincerity and intensity over and over again. Of course, this didn’t quite land the way she’d expected for this lively crowd, and it sparked a wave of stifled giggles. Watching everyone, including myself, trying to hold back laughter during such a meaningful moment was absolutely priceless. This unexpected burst of laughter was perfectly in tune with Leanne and Eddie’s playful personalities. The couple doesn’t take life too seriously and knows how to embrace even the most awkwardly timed moments. It was a true reflection of their lighthearted approach to life- and to their wedding day.

Pig Roast Feast and Reception
The rest of the day had a wonderfully laid-back vibe. Leanne and Eddie were all about soaking up every moment with their guests, so we spent little time on formal photos — instead, they opted for a more candid, photojournalistic approach to capture the day as it unfolded.
Guests were treated to a delicious charcuterie spread before indulging in a hearty pig roast for dinner. The scene felt like a cozy tailgate party, with a couple of Toyotas parked near the house and a few playful dogs running around the yard, adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
As the sun began to set, I took the opportunity to snap a few golden hour portraits of the newlyweds, who were all smiles, ready to dance the night away with their friends from near and far.
