Rathtrevor Beach Sunset Photos
Melody and Wim travelled from Vancouver specifically to have a sunset photoshoot at Rathtrevor Beach with me. I was so honored! It is extremely flattering to be chosen for my art, to document the intimacy of relationships. Melody had seen one of my most popular photos of a father and young daughter sitting in the water at sunset, and wanted to have a similar experience. Well, Melody definitely manifested this. The skies were vibrant and textured that night, just like the father daughter session. When these two showed up at their session, they brought all the fire and heat. They were oh so into each other! Wim is a romantic, I can tell. I usually ask some silly questions during my sessions to get people laughing and authentic. Wim is a chocolatier by profession, and I asked him to describe Melody like a perfect chocolate. Ohhhh boy that was a funny answer!
We finished the shoot with the shot Melody had been waiting for. In the water. I always ask couples at the end of the shoot if they would like to get in the water. At the end, you have no need to keep your clothes clean anymore, and can warm up in your car soon after. These two sat right down in the sandy (and seaweedy!!) water, and couldn’t help but have a little water fight.
