Married on the Beach, a Qualicum Beach Elopement Wedding
Trisha and Ken married on the beach in Qualicum Beach, a small and intimate wedding elopement among a few family members. The spot they chose was very specific; Trisha’s grandparents built a small house on the waterfront and lived there for many years. Trisha remembers her grandpa throwing fish heads onto the beach and watching the eagles swoop in to eat them. As both grandparents have passed on now, it was a meaningful way to include them in the wedding ceremony by marrying on the beach in front of their old house.
Their Love Story
Trisha and Ken have been dating for almost ten years now and are still giddy in love like the first days. Right now they are building a house at their property in Port Alberni, a town they love because it is so rich in hiking opportunities. These two love a good hike and spend a lot of time exploring Vancouver Island together. They felt it was the right moment to become married this summer, on a casual week day with a handful of family. Trisha borrowed her Auntie’s dress, held a deliciously fragrant bouquet of Pink Lilies, and married her best friend in a laid back environment. Afterwards, the party went to enjoy lunch at Creek House Restaurant in French Creek, and then the two of them spent a few romantic nights together in Victoria’s harbor before heading home to get back constructing their dream house. Congratulations on building your lives as a team guys! See you on the trails!
