Two Eagles Lodge Wedding ~ Lyndsay & Greg

Lyndsay and Greg’s Two Eagles Lodge Wedding

Lyndsay and Greg’s Two Eagles Lodge wedding is a day I will never forget. This was my first time visiting the lodge in Union Bay, and meeting the owner Carolyn. The physical beauty of the building, the golden grass fields overlooking the ocean, the pure love and energy from family and friends, and the warmth from the hostess Carolyn all flowed together to create a truly perfect day. This 12-acre piece of paradise can host indoor events of up to 60 guests, and more outdoors. With multiple rooms to get ready in, both the groom and bride could prepare for their big day separately with their bridal party. The warm August day was perfect for their outdoor ceremony, set up on the golden field overlooking the ocean.

A Romantic First Look Among Wildflowers

Lyndsay and Greg chose to have a first look prior to the ceremony. We set this up in the wildflower field in the backyard. It was so adorable! Their bridal party stood nearby, watching the cute couple see each other all dolled up and handsome for the first time. We took their bridal party photos and bride and groom photos for the next 45 minutes in the wildflower field and train tracks behind the lodge. These two gave themselves plenty of time for fun this day, with a big break in between photos and the ceremony to snack on pickles and hangout together laughing away. A game these two like to play is the Ice Game. Maybe you’ve played this? It’s where you hide a bottle of Smirnoff Ice on someone, and if they are surprised to find it, they must drink it down right then and there. Lyndsay pulled a fast one on Greg during their first look with this. Oh my!

The Candy Bar

The candy bar was a HUGE hit! Lyndsay told me she went a little wild at Bulk Barn, purchasing an impressive variety of candy. Throughout the day, guests would frequently stop back and nibble on something new. Everybody was feeling nostalgic when they found their favorite candies, and were thrilled to fill a little baggie to take home. I love candy bars at weddings, not only because it’s delicious, but because it brings guests into a playful and nostalgic mentality. What a unique mood booster!

Dancing the Night Away

The rest of the night was spent outdoors. A large tent was set up for their dinner tables in case of rain or extreme sun. Bakers Dozen Catering cooked up a delicious taco bar which was a hit with everyone. Some kind words were spoken during speeches, and the DJ kept the music playing for hours. Lawn games such as giant Jenga, toss, knock the bottle off and more gave guests ample entertainment. At golden hour, we walked down the driveway to the roadside for a few romantic photos of the newlyweds. These were definitely roadside pics, but they turned out so cute! Congratulations you two!
