Wanda and Gary’s Backyard Wedding with their Seven Combined Kids!

A Backyard Wedding, a Full House and a lot of Love

Wanda and Gary’s backyard wedding was a day to remember. Gary had four sons, and Wanda had three daughters, all aged between 12 and 21. Their children would be their bridal party. They chose his parents house in Bowser to become married, close to the ocean and able to accommodate a full house. Everybody spent the night together the evening prior, and again that night after the wedding. I can only imagine the laughter, love, and wholesome feelings of this family merging together.

Getting Ready Memories

When I arrived the morning of the wedding day, there was excitement in the air. Once I got there, the girls and the guys started getting ready. I went in between the rooms, capturing cute moments with the guys, grandma, and the girls as they dressed up for the event. While waiting for finishing touches on the bride, the kids kicked a soccer ball around and blew bubbles in the yard, and the guys all enjoyed a celebratory cigar. One of the sons snuck in a quick yoghurt and blueberries snack, and Gary put the flower crown on his dog.

Ceremony

Ready to go, the groom and his sons stood waiting for the girls. As the girls walked up one by one, a groomsmen played guitar. Finally, the bride and her dog came around the corner wearing a radiant smile and tail wag you just can’t help but smile to. They exchanged personal vows, and took the rings from their furry friend ringbearers collar. As they sealed it with a kiss, everybody rejoiced!

The Rest of the Day

Just a three minute drive down the road there was a nice beach access spot for photos. Wanda and Gary hopped on a little gas scooter adorned with empty cans and a “JUST MARRIED!” sign, and their dog followed along. The rest of us drove and met up with the couple at the beach. After formal photos, everybody met up at Cuckoo’s Trattoria and Pizzeria in Coombs for a late lunch. This is where I finished, but I promise this day kept on being the most amazing and fun celebration! Their plan was to head to the Mount Washington zipline in their wedding attire and have a good time.

Huge congratulations to you and your growing family, Wanda and Gary.
